Headphone reviews coming soon
August 15th, 2007
This post is just to remind everyone that we have not forgotten one of the big points of the fourth speaker is to share thoughts and do reviews on the various ways people succeed and fail in making their cell phones and other mobile devices produce good audio.
Getting the best audio solution is quite a challenge for many, but alas, too many suffer in silence.
I look forward to your comments and questions to get this discussion going.

By this do you mean that consumers are forced to accept whatever audio quality is handed down to them by the phone manufacturers? Or that the manufacturers themselves struggle with creating good audio output?
The audio quality on my phone, which is about two years old, has been a cause for mockery among peers on more than one occasion. However I’ve noticed that friends of mine with newer phones have less of a problem with that.
Has anyone tested out an iPhone to see what the sound quality is? I’m curious.
It seems to me that consumers are forced to be in passive mode while manufacturers improve their products. Correct me if you see it differently.

I am talking about accessories, not the phones themselves. We have to help all phone users find the best solution for their particular handset, which will be a fun project.
Once they sign up and give us their info, we can build a databse of user reviewed solutions that are compatible with their phones.
With the right earbuds, headset, or bluetooth device, the happiness level for the fourthspeaker crowd is greatly enhanced, no mattter what service they are using over their mobile devices/phones.
