What Fourth Speaker?

June 13th, 2007

Ok. Here is the inspiration.

With all the talk about the third screen these days, highlighting the obsession over turning cell phones into TV’s and computers, we have gathered a circle of friends together who share the common conviction that the “cell phone as audio device” has been woefully overlooked. No matter what the cell phone becomes, it will always be a friendly audio device first.

Granted, the friendship among the authors has followed our first instinct to make media more accessible and profit from it. We are team members and friends gathered here to converse with you on ways to partner together to make the fourth speaker deliver audio media in new and profitable ways. Join us as we both chronicle and create this inevitable movement together.

The CelleCast team.

BTW, just in case you are confused, the first three speakers have been the radio, the TV, then the computer. The phone speaker ‘as media delivery speaker’ is the fourth, and you can also include any portable device with a small speaker or headphone jack in that same category. We will look at all of it here on fourth speaker.
